Instructions for How to Apply

You can apply directly to any of the jobs listed on our website at https://critical-logic.com/about-us/careers/.  Those postings are also typically syndicated at the various job boards, so you can find them easily and apply to them directly from there.

Whether you apply directly on our web site or through a job board, you will be prompted to fill out a brief form to supply a resume, an optional “cover letter,” and any additional other information you want to share.  Completing the form will submit your application to us through our hiring portal, JazzHR.

If you would like to follow up with any questions contact us here.

Upon successful submission of your application, you should expect to receive an automated email confirming we’ve received your application.  Due to the sheer volume of applications, we typically cannot respond personally to every applicant, but if we do decide to take the next step you will be contacted by a representative over email from an email address with the same domain name as our website, critical-logic.com.

Please read on for more information about how to recognize malicious job postings that have been making their way onto some popular job boards.

Heads-Up:  Watch for Fake Job Scams!

In recent years law enforcement has become aware of a new type of online scam that puts both employers and applicants at risk.  In these “Fake Job Scams,” scammers steal legitimate job listings and repost copies of them on job boards like LinkedIn to make it look like the job listings are posted by the employer.  When applicants respond, their response goes to the scammer instead of the employer.

Scammers commonly seek to entice applicants into providing personally identifiable tax information (for example SSNs), other personally sensitive information, or even credit card information as an up-front payment for some cost related to their hiring.  Awareness and diligence on the part of both applicants and employers can help prevent costly impacts to both parties from this type of scam.

For a more detailed description of this phenomenon, please reference this useful Public Service Announcement from the FBI.

Common red flags in false postings and communications with employers:

  • Misspellings
  • Grammatical errors
  • Incomplete or inaccurate contact information
  • Premature / insecure requests for personally identifiable information
  • Requests for money

How do you know it’s us?

  • Critical Logic takes hiring very seriously.  When you join our team you join a family of amazing experts.  Our typical process includes a series of videoconference interviews, in-depth conversations about your background and the background of our company, before any offer for employment is ever made.
  • Our offers for employment are always made in writing, on company letterhead, with a detailed compensation plan.
  • Forms that require your personal, private information don’t come into play until terms have been agreed to and a start date has been set.  In the time leading up to your start date, you will be asked to login to a secure employee portal administered by our HR firm, where you’re taken through a formal series of steps to compile the information required for you to start work with us, including information related to your eligibility to work in the United States (the “I-9” form).
  • Critical Logic will never condition an offer for employment on receiving some up-front “payment” from you.  That is a clear sign that it is not us.

Unfortunately, in our increasingly digital world, this type of criminal activity is all-too common.  Awareness and diligence on the part of both you and us can help prevent costly impacts to us all.

Thank you for your awareness, and for your interest in Critical Logic!
